The Hideout

The notorious surfer/bank robbers of southern California known as the dead presidents need an untraceable, self sustained hideout in a secluded remote location.  A pirate ship will serve as the guidelines for design and serve as a locator for recycled shipping containers. The structure will be set in place by helicopter and only accessible by foot and boat.

The structure consists of 6 8.5’ x 20’ containers and 28.5’ x 40’ containers, each with adaptable leg footings that can rest on any surface evenly. The exterior of each container uses a green wall system and roof whose framework is composed of recycled pallets and filled with local vegetation to serve as insulation as well as a camouflage mechanism.

The site is located above Smuggler's Cove on Santa Cruz Island due south of Ventura/Santa Barbara County in the Channel Islands.
